Alex’s side

“She cancelled dinner again. It feels like I’m never a priority.”

Sarah’s side

“I was exhausted after work. He immediately assumed I didn’t care.”

Alex needs: reliability
Sarah needs: understanding
Different words. Same need: to feel valued.

Move your cursor toward the middle. The mediator only resolves once both perspectives are present.

No winner. One way forward.

Most AI hears whoever asks first. Both Stories waits until it hears both of you.

Why this is different

One fight. Two stories. Two chatbots can make both people feel right.

Validation can feel good in the moment — and still leave the conflict exactly where it started. The missing ingredient is the other person’s perspective.

It’s understandable that you feel hurt and disrespected…

Both Stories

Both sides are heard first

What the fight is actually about
Reliability vs. flexibility.
Alex experienced the cancellation as a pattern. Sarah experienced the reaction as a lack of empathy.
Shared next step
Sarah gives earlier warning when plans may change. Alex asks what happened before assuming intent.
No winner — one way forward
How it works

Tell. Invite. Resolve.

Three small steps designed for the moment when you’re both too close to the argument to see it clearly.

01

Tell your side privately

Type it, speak it, or paste the messages. We ask neutral follow-ups — not questions designed to prove you right.

“Here’s what happened…”
02

Invite your partner

Send one calm link. They explain their experience separately, without having to argue with your version first.

What you get

See the fight differently in five minutes.

Not a vague compatibility score. A practical breakdown of the argument you’re actually having.

  • What each person thought was happening
  • What each person needed underneath the words
  • Where each of you contributed to the escalation
  • What you genuinely agree on — and what you don’t
  • One concrete agreement for next time

What this was really about
Reliability vs. flexibility

Alex interpreted the cancelled dinner as part of a pattern. Sarah interpreted Alex’s reaction as assuming bad intent.

Alex’s part
Assumed intent too quickly

You moved from disappointment to accusation before asking why plans changed.

Sarah’s part
Communicated too late

You waited until the last minute to say you might need to cancel.

Agreement for next time
Earlier warning + one question before assumptions.

Sarah flags uncertainty sooner. Alex asks what happened before interpreting the change as disrespect.

Resolved

You found a way forward. ❤️

Both of you wanted to feel understood. You just expressed it differently.

What Both Stories+ noticed
Unexpected change → Alex feels deprioritized → Alex becomes accusatory → Sarah feels mistrusted → Sarah withdraws.

Three arguments that looked different on the surface, sharing the same underlying cycle.

Designed for trust

The point isn’t to decide who’s right.

It’s to make the conversation safer, clearer, and more useful than another round of defending yourselves.

No side-picking

We don’t declare a winner. We surface perspective, contribution, needs, and workable next steps.

Private by default

Your explanation is yours. The product uses both perspectives to mediate without turning your side into ammunition.

Built for real moments

Use Both Stories when something actually happens — not because an app demands another daily check-in.

Grounded, not clinical. Both Stories is not couples therapy and does not diagnose relationships. The flow is designed around established conflict-resolution ideas such as hearing both perspectives, slowing escalation, identifying underlying needs, and agreeing on a concrete repair step.

Before you start

Questions people usually ask.

No. Both Stories is meant to help with one everyday conflict, not diagnose a relationship or replace professional care. If the situation needs more than mediation can safely offer, the product says so clearly.
You can still reflect on your own side, but the full resolution requires both perspectives. The invitation is deliberately neutral: it asks your partner to share their experience rather than defend themselves against yours.
Not by default. Your raw explanation stays private. The shared resolution summarizes both perspectives without exposing private notes word-for-word.
That is not an ordinary conflict to balance. Both Stories stops mediation rather than framing abuse as a two-sided disagreement, and directs you toward real-world support.
Safety matters. This concept is for everyday relationship conflict. In situations involving abuse, coercive control, threats, stalking, or immediate danger, mediation is not the right tool.
When you’re ready
